New Office Opened in Orlando
Tallahassee-based communications and behavior change firm expands to Central Florida with new space and more services.
Orlando – Salter>Mitchell, an award-winning communications and behavior change firm based in Tallahassee, has opened a new office in downtown Orlando to accommodate its growing client base in Central Florida. The new office, located downtown in Thornton Park, is the agency’s third location; Salter>Mitchell also has an office in the Washington, D.C., area.
“With our anchor in the state capital, staff in South Florida, plus offices in D.C. and now Orlando, we’ve truly strengthened our position as the gateway firm for organizations seeking to change public opinion in the nation's fourth largest state,” said April Salter, President and Chief Operating Officer, Salter>Mitchell.

Salter>Mitchell pairs the strategic thinking and research depth of a consultancy with the firepower of a full-service agency providing advocacy, public relations, research, social marketing, digital and graphic design services. The firm’s research-driven approach leverages audience insights and the staff’s longstanding statewide ties to minimize opposition, maximize support and drive action.
Recent statewide campaign victories have included stopping the 2011 Legislative effort to take authority from the Florida Supreme Court, accelerating participation in a health plan for uninsured children, and shepherding Florida’s largest preservation land deal. This summer, Salter>Mitchell also helped the nonprofit Florida Impact create a mobile application and partner with Wal-Mart and the Miami Heat to link hungry children to summer meals sites.
The Orlando office will be led by Sara Isaac, a former Orlando Sentinel reporter who joined the firm in 2007. Isaac specializes in social marketing, designing behavior change campaigns in the areas of environment, safety and public health.
In Central Florida, Salter>Mitchell’s clients have included the Winter Park Health Foundation, MetroPlan Orlando and the Orange County Health Department. The firm recently wrapped up a fertilizer-reduction campaign for the Tampa Bay Estuary Program and is designing an obesity campaign for the Pinellas County Health Department. Salter>Mitchell has also provided public relations counsel for Kitson & Partners, for Babcock Ranch in Charlotte and Lee counties.
